What is the overall purpose of the role?


You will work as part of our finance team to ensure that all external customer interactions are professional, friendly, and compliant with good practice. While supporting the finance team to process customer queries in a timely and accurate manner.


Key activities and responsibilities


Your roles will include but not be limited to

  • Be first in the phone queue to take incoming customer calls and deal with enquiries
  • Monitor email inboxes for customer queries
  • Be first point of contact for Sales department and liaise to resolve any issues, always ensuring excellent customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with the Senior Treasury Clerk to work through customer issues, and log those that need further action
  • Process card payments from customers wishing to settle their outstanding balance
  • Process requests for refunds
  • Contact Customers to inform of any issues regarding their payments
  • Assist Credit Control and Debt Recovery teams by logging any customer interactions regarding late payments
  • Contribute to writing email templates and phone scripts to ensure excellent customer service experiences
  • Contribute to the on-going improvement of finance workflows by suggesting improvements
  • Any ad hoc admin tasks within the finance department
