Hours: Part time (3-4 days) or Full Time Available. 9 - 5.

Poole Bay Holdings are a fast-growing, family owned B2B marketer of workplace supplies in the UK, established in 2000. With over 30 market-leading business units across several niches in first aid, medical, hygiene, health & safety, facilities management, signage and outdoor furniture, we competitively market over 20,000 products through catalogues, our own ecommerce sites and various marketplaces. We operate on a UK-wide basis from our offices in sunny Poole, Dorset.

About The Role:

Having established itself over the last 22 years, EurekaDirect is the leading direct marketer of first aid, hygiene and safety products to a wide range of industries and organisations.

An exciting opportunity has arisen responsible for driving all online and offline marketing forward for new and existing products across all channels including emails, catalogues, PPC, organic search, and more.

As an entirely marketing-led business, this role is critical to the continued success of Eureka and presents a number of exciting opportunities for growth and development. You will own the marketing plan which will cover what we sell, how we sell it, how much we sell it for, what marketing activity we do and how much we spend doing it.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Proactive ownership and execution of marketing plan across a number of online and offline channels
  • Merchandising of online and offline channels to constantly optimise sales, response and conversion rates
  • Delivery of business-critical marketing collateral such as catalogues and e-shots
  • Launching new products from innovation team via marketing channels directly to customers
  • Product Management within Eureka including pricing, promotions, presentation of range architecture and more
  • Managing the P’n’L specifically for Eureka with a view to striking a balance between growth in sales, margins, marketing spend, profitability, customer acquisition/retention and long term business health
  • Testing and developing direct marketing concepts with a view to constant gradual evolution and improvement
  • Optimising the distribution marketing spend within Eureka
  • Analysing and understanding best customers and product life cycles and proposing direct marketing actions accordingly
  • Working with supply chain to ensure product stock and supply positions are fully understood at all times in order to enable effective direct marketing

What Does Success Look Like?

  • Continued growth in sales and profitability across Eureka business units
  • Improved sales ratios relative to marketing spend and stock levels
  • Improved core ecommerce metrics on a growing volume of traffic
  • Effective management of existing products and activity
  • Successful new products constantly launched
  • Regular and meaningful reporting with proven value-added actions being continually proposed and completed
  • Improvements in customer acquisition and retention, leading to growth in the active customer segments

If you:

  • Have a proven track record with at least 3 years in b2b product and/or direct marketing positions
  • Have demonstratable experience of proactively initiating and leading product or direct marketing initiatives that generate significant growth in sales and profitability
  • Can demonstrate and quantify successful experience of working in direct marketing, as well as marketing physical products
  • Can demonstrate a strong understanding of the 4 P’s as well as merchandising and core ecommerce metrics
  • Have a good of understanding of business, product and customer life cycles
  • Possess strong analytical skills and commercial acumen – experience of business analysis to profit-and-loss level is highly desirable
  • Are ambitious, entrepreneurial and curious, with a strong bias for investigation and action
  • Have a strong focus and experience of working based on objective figures and results
  • Are highly driven, hungry to succeed and able to work dynamically, with an ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks
  • Can communicate proactively and confidently at all levels, from marketing assistant to CEO
  • Are willing to get heavily invested in the company and strive to add value like it was your own…
